Murrumbidgee Regional Health Innovation Showcase 2026 success!

It’s hard to believe a week has already passed since we gathered in the beautiful town of Griffith to celebrate what is possible when we work together to grow a healthier Murrumbidgee.

Griffith truly embraced the Showcase, with strong participation from across the local community, including our local Members of Parliament and representatives from Griffith City Council. It was a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the strength of our region when we bring people, knowledge, innovation, education, research, health services, business and community together as one connected ecosystem.

The Showcase highlighted the extraordinary breadth of work taking place across our region and heard from people and organisations committed to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for our regional, rural and remote communities. From innovative workforce initiatives and research collaborations to new approaches to service delivery and community wellbeing, the Showcase demonstrated just how much is already happening and making a real difference across the Murrumbidgee.

One of the most important outcomes of the day was the opportunity to connect. The Showcase brought people together who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to meet, creating conversations between health professionals, educators, businesses, community organisations and other stakeholders. We’re already hearing about new connections and opportunities emerging from these conversations, and we look forward to seeing where they lead.

The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants describing the day as inspiring, valuable and a great opportunity to connect with others working towards shared outcomes.

A heartfelt thank you to:

Our sponsors – Your support made it possible to bring the event to life and provided a platform for regional organisations to connect, share their work and build new relationships.

Our presenters and panellists – Your expertise, openness and enthusiasm made the program so engaging. The experiences and insights you shared showcased the incredible work taking place across our region.

Our stallholders – You brought the networking space to life and gave participants the opportunity to discover more about the organisations, services and initiatives contributing to a healthier Murrumbidgee.

And to everyone who attended – Your participation and enthusiasm were a huge part of the day’s success. Thank you for helping us build not just an event, but a stronger and more connected MHKP community.

We also extend our thanks to Griffith City Council for supporting and hosting the event, and to the many people who contributed their time, expertise, ideas and practical support to make the 2026 Showcase such a success.

‍We would love to continue hearing from you.
