2024 Murrumbidgee Regional Health Innovation Showcase helps build momentum for regional collaboration
The Murrumbidgee Regional Health Innovation Showcase has helped establish a new platform for connection, collaboration and innovation across the region’s health ecosystem.
Hosted by the Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct, the 2024 Showcase brought together people and organisations with a shared interest in improving health and wellbeing outcomes across rural and regional communities.
The event supported the Precinct’s focus on Research Support and Innovation, which aims to enhance research opportunities locally and foster an innovation mindset between partners to drive practical, evidence-based solutions tailored to rural health needs.
The Showcase was designed to create space for health, education, industry, government and community representatives to share knowledge, explore new ideas and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
It also reflected the Precinct’s broader commitment to a one-system approach, recognising that the complex challenges facing rural and regional health services require coordinated, cross-sector responses.
The 2024 event helped build momentum for what has now become an annual Precinct event, supporting local conversations about innovation, workforce, education, research and the future of health care across the Murrumbidgee.
By bringing diverse partners together, the Showcase highlighted the value of place-based solutions and the importance of designing responses that reflect the needs, strengths and opportunities of local communities.
