MHKP highlights regional collaboration at National Health and Innovation Precincts Summit
The Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct was proud to be represented at the National Health and Innovation Precincts Summit 2025, held from 1 to 3 December at Melbourne Connect.
MHKP Manager Maya De Mattia was invited to speak at the national event, joining leaders from across government, healthcare organisations, universities, research institutes and the private sector to explore the future of healthcare innovation, precinct development and cross-sector collaboration.
The Summit brought together precinct leaders and partners from across Australia to share ideas, showcase local and national examples, and discuss how health and innovation precincts can support better outcomes for communities.
MHKP was proud to help open the Summit with the first presentation at the breakfast showcase, highlighting the power of regional communities, strong partnerships and place-based collaboration in the Murrumbidgee.
The presentation provided an opportunity to showcase the work of MHKP and the importance of regional voices in national conversations about health, education, workforce, research and innovation.
For rural and regional communities, health innovation must be grounded in local needs, local strengths and practical collaboration. MHKP’s involvement in the Summit helped demonstrate how regional precincts can bring together partners across sectors to design solutions that respond to the unique challenges and opportunities of their communities.
The Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct continues to work with partners across health, education, industry, business, community and government to improve access to high-quality healthcare, strengthen education and training pathways, and support better integration of the regional health system.
